Movie Eternal Revolution, a romantic love story, results from a true story during the Long March. The main roles acted in the story are still alive. In this story, Ashan, a beautiful woman director, after the defeat in the fifth counter-campaign, made the same promise to three boys from the same village, i.e. “I will marry who joins the army and fights with Japanese invaders to the end.”, which leaded the three men to the Long March and made her await for her whole life with no regret.
It is rather an impressive movie which highlights the struggle of humanity and expectation for love under the tough condition of war. The special theme, unique method and moving story differentiate the movie from any previous movies and teleplays on the Long March.
Movie Eternal Revolution has been selected as one of the best movies for the 70th anniversary for the Victory of the Long March and the 80th anniversary for the Founding of CPLA by National Film Bureau.
