At the beginning of 2003, the teleplay A Talented Boy with a Beautiful Girl starred by Lu yi and Lin Xinru was completed. It was directed by Tang Jili, a well-known international director and production director, and Jiang jiajun, a famous director from Hongkong.
As the very first work of the brand Beauty and Genius ( B&G ), this teleplay tells a story about the most popular topic with the audience--- how to get happiness and love, etc. It shows the unique aesthetic habit and interest of Chinese people and popular culture.
This teleplay, when broadcasted on the prime time of CCTV, reached a new high in audience rating of youth-love teleplay compared with the previous years. It became a key to establish the super brand B&G of Peking starlight Group.
In 2004 when the teleplay A Talented Boy with a Beautiful Girl was broadcasted in Korea , it became the first teleplay about youth-love widely welcomed by Korean audience.
